Monument Group Completes Merger with Secondaries Advisor Mozaic Capital
Monument Group, a leading, independent placement agent and capital advisory firm, and Mozaic Capital Advisors, a leading independent secondary advisor, today announced the two firms have merged. Following their eight-year strategic partnership, the merger strengthens Monument Group’s position as a global capital advisory firm providing comprehensive and bespoke capital solutions to both limited and general partners. Monument Group advises and assists on capital formation and liquidity solutions, including primary fundraisings, LP secondaries, GP-led transactions, capital solutions and advisory services.
With 50 professionals across its offices in Boston, London, Amsterdam, Hong Kong and Tokyo, the combined Monument Group and Mozaic Capital team has raised and advised on over $131 billion of capital across 205 funds and transactions. Led by 16 partners with an average tenure of 15 years, this senior team leverages its buy-side experience and deep industry relationships to offer a differentiated global approach.
Established in 2015 by Solomon Owayda and Christine Patrinos, Mozaic Capital brings a thoughtful approach to limited partner secondary solutions and GP-led transactions, informed by the team’s deep buy-side experience. Mozaic offers a creative, consultative approach with seamless transaction execution capabilities, innovative solutions and an intense focus on client service.
“We are thrilled to announce the combination of our deeply experienced and highly respected firms with a strong heritage of working alongside both investors and general partners,” said Monument Group Managing Partner Mike Miller. “Blending Mozaic’s expertise in LP secondaries and GP-led transactions with Monument Group’s private placement capabilities allows us to be a comprehensive capital solutions partner to our clients. Following our eight-year strategic partnership, the unification has proven to be seamless, with the firm well positioned to continue offering customized solutions to meet clients’ capital needs, strategic objectives and long-term goals.”
“A formal combination with Monument Group at this stage of our growth makes perfect strategic sense and marks a new chapter in the evolution of Mozaic Capital,” said Solomon Owayda, Co-Founder, Mozaic Capital Advisors. “With undeniable synergies between our primary and secondary activities, we have created a full-service firm, advising and assisting on capital formation and liquidity solutions for limited partners and general partners.”
